The Thames is not a long river. The English people call it “The Father of London”It is 330 kilometers long. Westminster Abbey Hyde Park William Shakespeare was called the Bard of Avon. He is the synonym of poetry. He is the most performed dramatist. Shakespeare was born in 1564. In 1594 he worked at a theater company. It later became the Royal Company. He was a playwright and an actor. Shakespeare died in 1616 on the day of his birthday at Stratford- upon – Avon. He was buried at the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford- upon – Avon. This is one of the world’s best-known world’s love songs. Love for Scotland, for the Scottish people and the Scottish language. It is the main theme of his poems. “MY HEART’S IN THE HIGHLANDS” Charlotte Bronte was a famous English writer. She was born into a poor family. There were six children in it. Their mother died when Charlotte was a very small girl. The girls were sent to a school for poor children. Charlotte’s two sisters died in that school. Later she described the school in her novel “Jane Eyre”. It was published in 1847 and made the writer famous.
